[Toronto, Canada] - The 3rd International Ghana Coconut Festival, sponsored by The World Bank Group, will kick off on September 26th, coinciding with 'National Coconut Day,' at Takoradi, Western Region. This three-day trade and exhibition event aims to bring critical stakeholders together within the coconut growing and processing industry to catalyze growth, excitement, and success. International coconut importers, retailers from the international market, and investors worldwide are invited to participate and explore the immense potential of Ghana's coconut sector.

Themed "INVEST IN GHANA'S COCONUT SECTOR FOR AN INCLUSIVE ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION AND IMPROVED CLIMATE AND SOCIAL RESILIENCE," this year's festival seeks to expedite the sector's growth by enhancing the value of raw materials produced from coconuts. Organized by the African Coconut Group in collaboration with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), the festival aims to achieve an annual revenue target of US$2.8 billion from exporting semi-processed and processed coconut products.

The festival proudly highlights the significant contributions of women and youth in enriching the coconut industry in Ghana. Through various policy initiatives and collaborations with the African Coconut Group, critical successes have been achieved in the coconut production industry. The event will provide a platform for youth in the coconut sector to interact with CEOs and industry leaders, fostering mentorship and inspiring the next generation to actively engage in the industry.
